Buddha Purnima 2021.
The festival of Buddha Purnima is traditionally celebrated to commemorate the birth of Siddhartha Gautama, who later became Gautama Buddha and went on to become the founder of Buddhism. This year, the festival of Buddha Purnima is being celebrated today, May 26, 2021. This auspicious occasion falls on ‘Purnima’ or a full moon day. Buddha Purnima is also known as Buddha Jayanti, Vesak Day and Vaishaka.
